Katherine Winters, M.A., CCC-SLP
Katherine (Katie) Winters, MA, CCC-SLP, is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at The University of Texas at Austin, studying under the mentorship of Dr. Courtney Byrd. She is a speech-language pathologist and clinical supervisor at the Arthur M. Blank Center for Stuttering Education and Research in Austin, TX. Katie earned her BA in Speech and Hearing Science and her MA in Speech-Language Pathology from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Katie wanted to be a part of the Blank Center to help current, and future speech-language pathologists better serve children and adults who stutter by conducting research that elevates the voices of individuals who stutter.
She thinks Dream. Speak. Live. is all about pursuing goals that align with your values and casting aside any expectations or judgment that may hold you back from achieving those goals.
